10 India-Backed Terrorists Killed in Gwadar Clearance Operation, ISPR Says

Pakistan Army personnel

Security forces killed 10 terrorists described by the military as 'India-sponsored' members of Fitna al-Hindustan in separate engagements in Balochistan's Gwadar district on October 22, the Inter-Services Public Relations said on Friday.

The ISPR said the militants targeted the Gabd Border Crossing and Gwadar city itself, and that clearance operations continued in and around the city. One civilian was martyred and a few vehicles were damaged, but no security personnel were lost in the fighting.

The military statement condemned the use of a Baloch woman in the attack as 'a crime not only against the state but against the hurmat [honour] of Baloch women.' The counter-terrorism campaign under Azm-e-Istehkam continues at full pace. The operation comes after Pakistan recorded its highest monthly number of militant attacks in 12 years this September.
