146 Players, 27 Slots: WPL 2027 Auction Set for October 28 in Kochi

The Women's Premier League has released its full player list for the 2027 auction — and the numbers show just how fierce the competition will be. A total of 146 players will go under the hammer at the Grand Hyatt Kochi on October 28, chasing only 27 available slots across the five franchises.

England batter Sophia Dunkley and Australia captain Sophie Molineux headline the pool, both entering at the highest base price of ₹50 lakh. India's G. Kamalini and Kiran Navgire, along with Australians Heather Graham and Jess Jonassen, sit in the ₹40 lakh bracket, while another 30 players have set their base price at ₹30 lakh. The pool includes 119 Indian players — 22 capped, 97 uncapped — competing for 20 slots, while 27 overseas players (including six from Associate nations) fight for the remaining seven.

UP Warriorz enter with the biggest purse of ₹3.65 crore, while Mumbai Indians have the smallest at ₹1 crore. The auction, starting at 5:30 pm on October 28, will shape every team's title push ahead of the WPL 2027 season, which runs from January 14 to February 7, 2027.
