Anthropic Files for Record IPO: Claude Maker Targets Nasdaq Listing as ANT

Anthropic, the artificial intelligence company behind the Claude chatbot, has filed paperwork for an initial public offering that analysts expect to rank among the biggest ever. The company filed a public registration statement with US regulators on Monday, 26 October, and plans to list its shares on the Nasdaq exchange under the ticker symbol ANT, with Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley leading the offering.
Reports have put a possible valuation between $1.5 trillion and $2 trillion, with a raise of up to $100 billion, though the filing itself did not state how many shares will be offered or at what price. That would put Anthropic in the same league as SpaceX, which was valued at around $1.8 trillion when it listed in June, and the deal could top the record for the largest IPO ever.
The filing also gave investors their first detailed look at Anthropic's finances. Revenue surged to $16.3 billion in the first half of 2026, up from $1.2 billion a year earlier, but the company reported a net loss of $80.7 billion, most of it about $72 billion in non-cash accounting adjustments linked to convertible debt. Anthropic, founded five years ago by former OpenAI researchers, has also committed heavily to computing infrastructure, spending $9 billion on it in the first half of the year alone.
