Aston Villa vs Man City Final Score 2-1: Jackson Brace Ends City

Aston Villa have handed Manchester City their first Premier League defeat of the season, winning 2-1 at Villa Park on Saturday thanks to a brace from Nicolas Jackson. The Senegal striker needed just six minutes to open the scoring, capitalising on a defensive error by Marc Guehi after John McGinn won the ball back and released him.

City pressed hard for an equaliser, with Iliman Ndiaye curling an effort against the post in the 28th minute, and goalkeeper Zion Suzuki making several important saves to keep Villa ahead at half-time. The champions finally levelled seven minutes into the second half when Erling Haaland headed home from Ndiaye's delivery in the 52nd minute. But parity lasted only eight minutes. Substitute Ibrahim Mbaye drove down the right and cut the ball back for Jackson, whose first-time finish in the 60th minute slipped through goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma's hands to restore Villa's lead.

The result ends City's seven-match winning run in the league, although they stay top of the table with 21 points from eight games. Villa climb to sixth with 11 points, while Arsenal, who host Everton later on Saturday, can draw level on points with a win.
