Champions League Night: PSG Host Barcelona as Liverpool Take on Villarreal

Paris Saint-Germain take on Barcelona in the Champions League

European football's biggest club competition returns on Tuesday night with a blockbuster tie: Paris Saint-Germain host Barcelona at the Parc des Princes in the standout match of Champions League Matchday 3. The game also reunites Barcelona with their former coach Luis Enrique, who now leads the defending champions PSG.

PSG arrive full of confidence after a 4-2 win at Manchester City in the previous round, while Barcelona have swept aside everyone so far with two wins from two. Both teams will be missing key defenders, so fans can expect an attacking contest. Liverpool host Villarreal at Anfield in another heavyweight tie, and Manchester City look to bounce back against AEK Athens at the Etihad. Elsewhere, Napoli face Bodø/Glimt in what could be a must-win game for Massimiliano Allegri, and Atlético Madrid travel to Stuttgart.

The action continues on Wednesday with Bayern Munich against Arsenal and Real Madrid versus RB Leipzig, while Manchester United visit Como. With nine Tuesday fixtures and nine more on Wednesday, this week could reshape the race for the knockout places.
