The Premier League returns this weekend with a London derby headlining Matchweek 8, as Chelsea host Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening (17:30 BST). The match is one of two heavyweight clashes on Saturday, with Aston Villa welcoming Manchester City in the lunchtime kick-off (12:30 BST).

Friday night opens the round with Ipswich Town vs Nottingham Forest (20:00 BST). Saturday's other fixtures see Arsenal host Everton and Coventry City face Fulham (both 15:00 BST). Sunday brings five more games: Crystal Palace vs Newcastle United, Hull City vs Brentford, Liverpool vs Brighton and Manchester United vs Bournemouth (all 14:00 GMT — note the UK clocks go back on Sunday morning), before Sunderland vs Leeds United closes the weekend at 16:30 GMT.

City will look to build on their recent 3-0 win at Liverpool, while Chelsea — fresh off a 5-1 thrashing of Bournemouth — aim to keep their top-four push alive against a Spurs side that beat Coventry 3-1 on Monday. With the title race tightening and European spots on the line, Matchweek 8 could reshape the table heading into November.
