Cleveland Cavaliers vs Brooklyn Nets Final Score: Cavs Survive 41-Point Fourth Quarter to Win 125-121

The Cleveland Cavaliers survived a furious Brooklyn comeback to beat the Nets 125-121 in their home opener on Saturday night, earning their first win of the 2026-27 NBA season. Donovan Mitchell scored 22 points, Jarrett Allen added 21 points and eight rebounds, and Evan Mobley posted a double-double with 20 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals and three blocks.

Cleveland looked comfortable when a 3-pointer from Jaylon Tyson made it 104-82 with 9:29 left, but Brooklyn then poured in 41 points in the fourth quarter, hitting nine three-pointers. Michael Porter Jr. led the Nets with 28 points and nine rebounds, Julius Randle scored 23, and rookie Egor Demin poured in 15 of his 22 points in the final period. Porter's fourth three of the night cut the gap to 123-121 with 8.1 seconds left, but he fouled out on the next possession and Sam Merrill sank two free throws to seal it.

The win moves Cleveland to 1-1, but it also extends a worrying early pattern: the Cavaliers blew a 29-point lead in Thursday's season-opening loss to Philadelphia. Brooklyn, still winless at 0-2, will take heart from the rally but remains searching for a first victory. Cleveland now hosts Minnesota on Monday, while the Nets host Indiana on Sunday.
