Falcons vs 49ers Score: Atlanta Stuns San Francisco 29-20 as NFL Week 7 Delivers Shock Upsets

The Atlanta Falcons pulled off the shock of NFL Week 7 on Sunday, beating the previously unbeaten San Francisco 49ers 29-20 at home. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. threw three touchdown passes and the Falcons defence forced four turnovers, handing San Francisco its first defeat of the season and giving Atlanta its first home win of the year.

The 49ers looked in control early, racing to a 14-3 lead on a 30-yard touchdown run. But Atlanta answered with 23 unanswered points, with Penix finding Nick Muse, Kyle Pitts Sr. and Drake London for scores, while rookie linebacker Kendal Daniels sealed it with an interception and a fumble recovery in the fourth quarter. Brock Purdy threw for 288 yards for the 49ers (6-1), but two interceptions proved costly.

It was a Sunday full of surprises across the league. Tampa Bay crushed Carolina 43-13 as Bucky Irving ran for two touchdowns, Cincinnati roared back from 13-0 down to beat Baltimore 35-13 behind four second-half touchdown passes from Joe Burrow, and Minnesota stayed perfect at 6-0 with a 16-10 win over Indianapolis. In the first NFL game played in Paris, Pittsburgh beat New Orleans 16-10 as Aaron Rodgers threw his 540th career touchdown pass, moving past Peyton Manning into third place on the all-time list.
