Gold Rate Today in Pakistan: 24K Tola Falls to Rs426,500 as Global Price Drops

The gold rate in Pakistan fell by Rs3,000 per tola on Thursday, with 24-karat gold closing at Rs426,500 — the lowest level in 30 trading days, according to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. The drop came as international gold prices slid to their weakest in more than two weeks, with spot gold down about 1.25 percent to roughly $4,084 an ounce, and live markets on Friday showing it near $3,990.
Analysts blame the slide on rising oil prices after fresh Houthi attacks in Saudi Arabia, which pushed recent US inflation figures above expectations. Traders now expect American interest rates to stay higher for longer — bad news for gold, which pays no interest. The US Federal Reserve meets on October 27-28 and is widely expected to hold rates, though its statement could sound hawkish.
Lower purities fell in step: 22K gold is Rs390,958 per tola, 21K is Rs373,188 and 18K is Rs319,875. A week ago the 24K tola stood at Rs432,000, meaning buyers have seen Rs5,500 shaved off in seven days. With the wedding season approaching, jewellers say demand usually picks up when prices cool — though making charges and city-to-city differences still apply on top of the board rate.
