Grand Theft Auto 6 has already sold an estimated 6.45 million pre-order copies worth about $630 million, according to new data from analytics firm Sensor Tower reported this week — weeks before its November 19, 2026 release date. If accurate, it would be one of the biggest pre-launch hauls in entertainment history.

PlayStation 5 accounts for the lion's share: 4.8 million copies ($468 million, roughly 74 percent), compared with 1.66 million ($162 million) on Xbox Series X|S — reflecting Sony's much larger console install base. Analysts at Newzoo project the game could generate up to $5.2 billion in its launch week alone. Rockstar has confirmed digital pre-loads begin November 12, with the Standard Edition priced at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99. The figures remain third-party estimates; Rockstar and Take-Two have not officially confirmed them.

Set in the fictional state of Leonida with dual protagonists Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, GTA 6 arrives more than a decade after GTA 5. Take-Two reports earnings on November 9 — just ten days before launch — when investors will get the first official read on the numbers.
