GTA 6 Release Date: One Month to Launch — Everything Confirmed So Far

The biggest video game launch of the decade is officially four weeks away. As of October 22, Grand Theft Auto 6 is exactly 28 days from release, launching on Thursday, November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S — and Rockstar's official website continues to list that date as the final countdown begins.

Players will return to Vice City as criminal couple Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, entangled in a conspiracy across Leonida after a job goes wrong. The Standard Edition is priced at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99, both with seven-day preloading so buyers can download before release day. The PS5 version supports haptic feedback and adaptive triggers — but anyone still on a PS4 will need to upgrade, because GTA 6 will not be playable on the older console.

More than 13 years have passed since Grand Theft Auto 5 launched on September 17, 2013, and anticipation is at fever pitch: Rockstar's October 15 launch trailer is front and center on its site, radio stations hosted by stars like Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey and Burna Boy were confirmed earlier this month, and Sensor Tower estimates more than 6 million digital pre-orders are already in.
