GTA VI Needs 210GB on PS5: Preload Starts 12 November Ahead of 19 November Launch

Grand Theft Auto VI will need 210GB of storage on PlayStation 5, according to a report from the PlayStation Game Size account on 27 October, giving players a clear warning to clear space before launch. Rockstar has not confirmed an equivalent download size for Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S, but players on those consoles should expect a similarly large file. Digital preload begins on 12 November, a full week before the game unlocks at midnight local time on 19 November for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S.

The price is already confirmed: $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition in the United States, or £69.99 and £89.99 in the United Kingdom. The boxed Standard Edition is a download code in a box rather than a disc, and digital preorders made before 20 November include the Vintage Vice City Pack and one month of GTA+. The Ultimate Edition adds an in-game upgrade package on top of the same single-player campaign.

Demand remains enormous, though no official total exists. Analyst firm Sensor Tower has estimated roughly 6.92 million preorders so far, while Take-Two chief executive Strauss Zelnick has called demand unprecedented without giving a number. The message for players is simple: start the preload on 12 November, or risk spending launch night watching a download bar instead of playing.
