GTA VI Will Reportedly Need a Massive 210GB Download — 21 Days to Launch

Grand Theft Auto VI will reportedly require a 210GB download on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, according to a new report — meaning players will need a big chunk of free storage ready before launch day on November 19. The game is set in Leonida, Rockstar's version of Florida, with Vice City as its main city, and follows criminal couple Jason and Lucia.

Digital pre-orders can be pre-loaded from November 12, a week before launch, and boxed copies will reportedly ship with a download code instead of a disc — so even physical buyers will need to download the full game. The Standard Edition costs $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition $99.99 in the US. Rockstar has confirmed the November 19 date, the pre-load window and the pre-order bonuses, including the Vintage Vice City Pack.

No PC version has been announced, with reports pointing to early 2027 for computers. With 21 days to go, the advice for players is simple: clear storage space now, keep the console online during the November 12 pre-load, and beware of fake “early copy” offers online — these are usually scams. The launch trailer, released on October 15, was captured entirely on PS5.
