India vs New Zealand Final Score: Tilak's Unbeaten 51 Seals 4-Wicket Win, India Lead T20 Series 2-0

India pulled off a thrilling four-wicket win over New Zealand in the second T20I at Hagley Oval, Christchurch, on October 24, chasing down 181 with just one ball to spare to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series. Tilak Varma was the hero with an unbeaten 51 off 26 balls, while Nitish Kumar Reddy finished on 26 not out off 13, as the pair put on an unbroken 69-run stand off only 30 balls to rescue a chase that had looked lost.
New Zealand had posted 180 for 5 after Glenn Phillips smashed 70 off 43 balls and Bevon Jacobs added 58 off 46, rebuilding from 44 for 3 in the powerplay. Arshdeep Singh was India's best bowler with 2 for 33, but captain Mitchell Santner's 4 for 21 ripped through India's middle order and left the visitors reeling at 70 for 5, and later 112 for 6, before Naman Dhir's 31 off 17 balls gave the chase fresh life.
Tilak and Nitish then turned a required rate above 13 runs an over into a famous finish, their 69-run partnership setting a new record for India's highest seventh-wicket stand in T20Is. Tilak, who hit six fours and a six, was named Player of the Match. The game also marked India's 300th men's T20I, making them only the second team after Pakistan to reach the milestone.
