Israel Votes October 27: Final Polls Hand Netanyahu a Razor-Thin 62-Seat Majority

Israel holds its general election on Tuesday, October 27 — the first vote since the Hamas-led attack of October 7, 2023 — and final polls say the race could not be tighter. A last NEXT DATA survey, published October 22 by Channel 14, projects Benjamin Netanyahu bloc at 62 seats in the 120-member Knesset, just one seat above the 61 needed for a majority.
The poll gives Likud 30 seats against 20 for Gadi Eisenkot Yashar, with Naftali Bennett Together on 11. Other surveys are less kind: poll averages put the two blocs virtually tied around 50-52 seats, meaning Arab parties, projected at 13-15 seats, could decide who forms the next government. Netanyahu leads Eisenkot 55 percent to 45 percent on suitability for prime minister.
With neither side assured of 61, a deadlock could force yet another election in 2027. Record turnout in Arab towns is being tipped as the wildcard of election day.
