Jio Platforms IPO Listing Today: India's Biggest IPO Debuts After 22x Subscription Frenzy

Jio Platforms IPO Listing Today: India

Shares of Jio Platforms, the digital arm of Reliance Industries, make their stock market debut on Wednesday, 28 October, on the National Stock Exchange and the Bombay Stock Exchange. The Rs 30,213 crore initial public offering is India's biggest ever, and it closed last week subscribed 22.19 times overall after bidding from 21 to 23 October.

The issue was priced at Rs 1,119 per share, the top of its Rs 1,065 to Rs 1,119 band. Institutional investors led the frenzy, subscribing their portion 70.55 times, while retail investors subscribed 2.72 times. A record 1.39 crore applications poured in, and total demand across the public issue and anchor placement crossed Rs 7.4 lakh crore, according to exchange data.

Ahead of the debut, the grey market premium pointed to an opening price near Rs 1,373, roughly 22 percent above the issue price, though such unofficial signals never guarantee listing gains. Trading follows a special pre-open session from 9:00 to 9:45 am, with regular trading from 10:00 am. Investors will watch the opening price closely, and attention will quickly turn to the company's board meeting on 30 October, when it reviews results for the quarter and half-year ended 30 September.
