Mavericks vs Pacers Final Score 121-105: Irving's 24 Leads Dallas Rout as Flagg Exits With Shoulder Injury

Kyrie Irving dribbles against the Indiana Pacers at Gainbridge Fieldhouse

Kyrie Irving scored a game-high 24 points as the Dallas Mavericks beat the Indiana Pacers 121-105 on Friday in Indianapolis, but the win came with a scare for Dallas fans. Star forward Cooper Flagg left the game before halftime with a left shoulder injury and did not return.

The injury happened with 59.7 seconds left in the second quarter, when Indiana's Aaron Nesmith challenged Flagg's dunk attempt from behind and sent him sprawling to the floor. After a review, Nesmith was given a flagrant-1 foul, and a brief scuffle saw technical fouls for Nesmith and Dallas's Naji Marshall. Flagg finished with 14 points, five rebounds and six assists in just 17 minutes, and Dallas still carried a huge 77-43 lead into the locker room. P.J. Washington added 20 points and 13 rebounds for Dallas, while Max Christie scored 16 and Marshall had 15. Pascal Siakam led Indiana with 23 points, and Tyrese Haliburton added 18 in his first home game in 490 days after missing last season with an Achilles injury. Mavericks coach Dusty May said Flagg will be evaluated over the next couple of days, leaving his status for Saturday's game against San Antonio and Monday's trip to Miami uncertain.
