Pakistani actors Mawra Hocane and Ameer Gilani have welcomed their first child, a baby boy they have named Syed Azmar Hussain Kamal Gilani.

The couple shared the joyous news on Instagram, introducing their "littlest most precious treasure." Azmar means "lion" — and the proud parents added, "The king of our jungle, our pride." The announcement video shows Gilani reciting the Azaan into his newborn son's ears as he welcomes him into the world.

The couple had kept the pregnancy a secret, though fans had spotted a baby bump during her recent appearances and speculated for months. Mawra and Ameer, who co-starred in the hit dramas Neem (2023) and Sabaat (2020), got married in February 2025 after years of speculation about their relationship.
