The Dallas Cowboys kept their season alive on Monday Night Football, beating the injury-hit Philadelphia Eagles 38-21 at Lincoln Financial Field to end a two-game losing streak and move to 3-4. The Eagles, meanwhile, lost their fifth game in a row to fall to 2-5, with their playoff hopes taking a heavy blow.
Dallas won the game on the ground. Javonte Williams ran for a career-high 155 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries — the Cowboys' first 150-yard rusher since Ezekiel Elliott in 2018 — as Dallas ran 38 times for 204 yards. Quarterback Dak Prescott threw for 212 yards and three touchdowns, with CeeDee Lamb catching two of them. The decisive score came on Lamb's 16-yard touchdown catch plus a two-point conversion with 1:30 left in the third quarter, putting Dallas ahead 28-21.
Philadelphia started without quarterback Jalen Hurts and wide receivers DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks, then lost running backs Saquon Barkley and Dameon Pierce to injuries during the game. Barkley, back after missing two games with a hamstring problem, left with a back injury after 62 yards and a touchdown.
