Nine Terrorists Killed in Balochistan Operations in Kachhi and Wadh, ISPR Says

Security forces killed nine terrorists in two intelligence-based operations in Balochistan’s Kachhi and Wadh districts, the military’s media wing said on Wednesday. The operations were carried out on October 26 after reports of the presence of terrorists belonging to what the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) described as the Indian proxy group Fitna al-Hindustan.
In the first operation, in Kachhi district, troops raided a terrorist hideout and, after an intense exchange of fire, killed seven terrorists, the ISPR said. In a separate operation in Wadh district, security forces tracked and intercepted the movement of terrorists, killing two more in a gunfight. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from both sites, and sanitisation operations are underway to clear the areas of any remaining militants.
The ISPR said the counterterrorism campaign under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, would continue at full pace until foreign-sponsored terrorism is eliminated from the country. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif both praised the security forces for the operations. Pakistan has seen a sharp rise in militant attacks, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, since the Afghan Taliban returned to power in 2021, and recorded its highest monthly number of militant attacks in 12 years during September 2026.
