Pakistan Swap Green for Pink Against England in Breast Cancer Awareness ODI

Pakistan traded its famous green kit for striking pink jerseys for Tuesday's ODI clash against England in Rawalpindi, joining a global breast-cancer awareness campaign during October — recognised worldwide as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Pakistan Cricket Board organised the special kit to use one of the season's highest-profile fixtures to spotlight a cause that goes well beyond the boundary rope.
The move is not a first for the national side: Pakistan previously wore pink jerseys during a T20I against South Africa in Rawalpindi in 2025, and women's teams around the world have long worn pink each October. For the Rawalpindi match, captain Shaheen Afridi leads a lineup featuring Babar Azam, Fakhar Zaman, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf, with Saad Baig behind the stumps. England, led by Harry Brook, field a powerful side including Joe Root, Ben Duckett and Adil Rashid.
The fixture is the latest marquee outing in a packed home season for Pakistan, and the pink initiative has already drawn warm reactions from fans, who see the team putting its massive platform behind a health message that touches millions of families.
