Pakistan Tourism, Sports and Family Festival Returns to Islamabad From November 6

Islamabad will host the second Pakistan Tourism, Sports and Family Festival from November 6 to 8, bringing tourism, sport, culture and family entertainment together at the Pakistan Sports Complex. The event was announced on Saturday by Adviser to the Prime Minister on Tourism Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, at a ceremony at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry following the signing of an agreement between the chamber and the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation to jointly organise the festival.
The three-day festival will feature paragliding, rock climbing, tent pegging, a vintage car show, hot air balloons, cultural performances, traditional crafts and food stalls. Organisers hope around 150,000 people will visit, and say the festival is designed to showcase Pakistan's tourism attractions and cultural diversity to both local families and international visitors.
Khan described tourism revival as a collective responsibility and an important way to create economic opportunities and promote optimism. He also proposed engaging Pakistani diplomatic missions abroad to invite international content creators to the festival, so they can highlight the country's attractions to global audiences and help project Islamabad and Pakistan as attractive destinations for tourism, culture, sport and investment.
