Pakistan vs England Scorecard: Arafat Minhas' 59 and 6/40 Powers Pakistan to 87-Run ODI Win

Pakistan vs England Scorecard: Arafat Minhas

Twenty-one-year-old Arafat Minhas produced one of the greatest all-round performances in ODI history on Tuesday night, smashing 59 runs and taking a career-best 6/40 as Pakistan thrashed England by 87 runs in the ODI tri-series in Rawalpindi.

Chasing 303, England were cruising at 91/0 before collapsing to 215 all out in 47.4 overs. Minhas, Pakistan's young left-arm spinner, tore through the middle order with his 8.4-over spell of six wickets. Earlier, he had hit a brisk 59 off 58 balls to lift Pakistan to 302/9.

With this performance, Minhas became only the third Pakistani — after Shahid Afridi and Abdul Razzaq — and the youngest player in the world ever to score a fifty and take six wickets in the same ODI. Tom Banton top-scored for England with 57, while Ben Duckett made 45. The win is Pakistan's second straight in the tri-series, putting the hosts on top of the standings as the tournament heads into its next round.
