Most of Punjab can expect dry weather on Monday and Tuesday, 26 and 27 October, while nights turn cold in Murree, Galiyat and the northern areas, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast.

In its forecast issued on Monday morning, the PMD's National Weather Forecasting Centre in Islamabad said continental air is prevailing over most of the country, keeping conditions predominantly dry. Murree, Galiyat and adjoining areas are likely to feel cold at night on Monday, and cold conditions are expected during both the morning and night on Tuesday. Across Pakistan, dry weather is expected to persist, with partly cloudy conditions likely in the northern regions.

Over the past 24 hours, dry weather prevailed across most of the country while northern areas stayed cold in the mornings and at night. Skardu recorded the lowest temperature at minus 1°C, followed by Ziarat at 1°C and Kalat at 2°C, while Babusar and Astore recorded 3°C. Travellers heading to Murree, Galiyat and other northern areas should pack warm clothing, particularly for early mornings and nights, when the chill will be felt most.
