Petrol Price Cut by Rs 2.71 to Rs 379.31 Per Litre from October 22

The federal government has cut the petrol price by Rs 2.71 per litre to Rs 379.31, while raising the price of high-speed diesel by Re 0.31 to Rs 390.11. The new ex-depot prices take effect on Thursday, October 22, 2026, under the daily weekday pricing mechanism run by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA).
According to the Petroleum Division's notification, the revision reflects Platts market rates, premiums and incidental costs recorded over the preceding days. The move brings modest relief at the pump for motorists, though diesel - the fuel that powers trucks, buses and farm machinery - inches higher, a change that can feed through to freight and food prices.
Pakistan reviews fuel prices daily from Monday to Friday based on a seven-day average of international benchmarks, a system the government adopted to pass global market movements to consumers more quickly amid Middle East supply uncertainty.
