PIA Unveils HSY-Designed Cabin Crew Uniforms, Debuting on Oct 31 Dreamliner Flight

Pakistan International Airlines has unveiled a brand-new cabin crew uniform collection designed by celebrated couturier Hassan Sheheryar Yasin, better known as HSY. The airline announced the collection on Thursday, and the new look will debut on October 31 aboard PIA's inaugural Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner flight from London to Islamabad.

HSY was picked after a competitive showcase in Karachi, where ten leading Pakistani designers presented their concepts to a jury of fashion figures and industry leaders. According to PIA, the collection follows a "lifestyle first" philosophy, built for long-haul durability and crew comfort, with breathable fabrics, structured tailoring and detailing drawn from Pakistan's cultural craftsmanship.

The revamp is part of PIA's ongoing transformation under its new consortium-led management. HSY joins a storied line of designers who shaped the airline's look, from Pierre Cardin's pioneering tunic in 1966 to Sir Hardy Amies in the 1970s. PIA spokesperson Abdullah Hafeez Khan said the collection marks "a stylish leap forward" that puts crew pride and Pakistani identity back at the center of the national carrier.
