San Antonio Spurs vs Dallas Mavericks Final Score: Wembanyama

Victor Wembanyama scored 23 points with seven rebounds and four blocks as the San Antonio Spurs beat the Dallas Mavericks 122-106 on Saturday night, earning their first win of the 2026-27 NBA season and avoiding their first 0-3 start since 2008-09. Dylan Harper added 22 points, while De'Aaron Fox and Stephon Castle scored 19 each.

The Spurs led by 14 at halftime but watched Dallas erase the advantage in the third quarter before opening the final period with a decisive run, outscoring the Mavericks 30-17 in the fourth. San Antonio dominated the glass, grabbing 15 offensive rebounds and winning second-chance points 25-10. Wembanyama started slowly, scoring just one point before the middle of the second quarter, then threw down two alley-oop dunks within two minutes to spark the Spurs.

Dallas, playing without stars Cooper Flagg (shoulder) and Kyrie Irving (knee management), got 21 points off the bench from rookie Sergio de Larrea, but its five starters combined for just 50 points. The Mavericks slipped to 1-2 and now head to Miami on Monday, while the Spurs (1-2) host Sacramento on Tuesday.
