Shadab Khan's Heroic 113* Seals One-Wicket Thriller as Pakistan Beat England to Reach Tri-Series Final

Pakistan pulled off one of the great ODI escapes at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, beating England by one wicket in the fourth match of the ODI tri-series on Sunday. Shadab Khan's unbeaten 113 off 96 balls rescued Pakistan from 154 for 9 in a chase of 242 and sealed a sensational win with 17 balls to spare. The victory takes Pakistan to the tri-series final on October 31.
Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi won the toss and chose to bowl first, and his bowlers delivered, dismissing England for 241 in 46.4 overs. Ben Duckett made 105 off 111 balls, but Shaheen's 4 for 46 kept England to a below-par total. What followed was one of the most dramatic chases in recent ODI history: Pakistan collapsed to 154 for 9 before Shadab and last man Haris Rauf added an unbeaten 89 runs for the final wicket, a record stand in a successful ODI run chase.
Shadab's innings, with 13 fours and five sixes, included a successful review after he was given out lbw on 97. England, still winless after three matches, now need other results to go their way to reach the decider. For Pakistan, it is a third straight win — and a night Lahore will not forget in a hurry.
