Shaun Tait Hails Pakistan's Pace-Spin Balance After Back-to-Back Tri-Series Wins

Shaun Tait Hails Pakistan

Pakistan's bowling coach Shaun Tait has praised his attack's balance between pace and spin after the team's back-to-back wins to open the ODI tri-series in Rawalpindi. Pakistan first beat Sri Lanka by 37 runs and then thrashed England by 87 runs at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, and the former Australia fast bowler said the two departments were complementing each other well.

“The bowling has been really encouraging so far. It is a great way to start the series against two quality teams with some very good players,” Tait told PCB Digital in Lahore on Thursday. “England have a formidable batting line-up, so to bowl the way we did against them was really pleasing. We have a nice balance between pace and spin and both departments are complementing each other really well.”

Tait, in his second stint with Pakistan, also welcomed reuniting with a familiar pace group including Haris Rauf, Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah. The squad arrived in Lahore on Wednesday evening and took Thursday off, resuming training on Friday ahead of Sunday's rematch with England on October 25.
