Shaun Tait Praises Pakistan's Bowling After 87-Run Rout of England; Lahore ODI Next

Pakistan bowling coach Shaun Tait has praised his pace attack after Pakistan thrashed England by 87 runs in the second match of the Pakistan ODI Tri-Series 2026 at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on October 20. Pakistan posted 302/9 and bowled England out for 215 — their second win in two matches after a 37-run victory over Sri Lanka on October 18.

Tait, in his second stint with the team, told PCB Digital that the bowling had been "really encouraging" against two quality sides, crediting domestic first-class matches for getting the fast bowlers ready and head coach Mike Hesson for managing workloads well. He reserved special praise for young all-rounder Arafat Minhas, who scored 59 off 58 balls and took 6 wickets for 40 runs against England.

Pakistan face England again on October 25 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Tait admitted the Lahore pitch would be different from Rawalpindi but said the focus would stay on individual bowling plans — and he called on fans to rally behind the team and fill the stands.
