South Africa vs Australia Live Score: Australia 330-4 at Stumps on Day 2, Lead by 1 Run

Australia reached stumps on day two of the deciding third Test at Newlands in Cape Town on 330 for 4, leading South Africa's first-innings total of 329 by a single run. Josh Inglis finished unbeaten on 85 from 111 balls and Alex Carey was 51 not out, the pair adding an unbroken 145 runs after Australia had slipped to 185 for 4. The series is tied at 1-1.

The day belonged to Australia's reshuffled batting order, playing without the injured Steven Smith. Travis Head and Matt Renshaw, promoted to open, put on 58 before off-spinner Simon Harmer struck twice in one over, removing Head for 41 and Marnus Labuschagne for a duck. Renshaw and Cameron Green then rebuilt with a 126-run stand, both reaching fifties, before Marco Jansen removed them both, Renshaw for 74 and Green for 65. Renshaw's wicket, confirmed on review, was Jansen's 100th in Test cricket.

South Africa's bowlers found little joy on a flattening pitch. Spearhead Kagiso Rabada went wicketless for 81 runs from 18 overs and spent part of the afternoon off the field with stomach cramps, while Harmer finished with 2 for 84 and Jansen 2 for 37. Earlier, South Africa had been bowled out for 329, built on Marques Ackerman's 95, Aiden Markram's 78 and Jansen's 52, with Mitchell Starc taking 6 for 72. Australia now have six wickets in hand and a chance to bat South Africa out of the match.
