Trump and Obama hit the campaign trail as midterm battle enters final weeks

President Donald Trump and former President Barack Obama have taken to the campaign trail in the final weeks before the US midterm elections, with Trump vowing to spend over 00 million on the Republican effort. Trump held a 90-minute rally in Park City, Kansas, on Monday, and his campaign says he will hold rallies in North Carolina, South Carolina, Iowa, Florida, Georgia and Michigan this week. He urged voters to treat the midterms as if his own name were on the ballot.

In Kansas, Trump used the riots in France as a flashpoint, warning the crowd that a vote for Democrats would bring similar chaos to America. He called former President Obama "a rotten president" while discussing Obama's planned visit to Michigan, where Obama is campaigning for Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed. Former President Bill Clinton, meanwhile, has been stumping in Florida for gubernatorial candidate David Jolly. With polls tightening even in traditionally red states, both parties are leaning on their biggest names for the final push.
