The Minnesota Vikings stayed unbeaten with a hard-fought 16-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, leaning on a defence that shut Indianapolis out completely in the second half after trailing 10-6 at half-time.

Linebacker Blake Cashman was the star of the defensive stand, recording 12 tackles and two sacks, while veteran safety Harrison Smith reached a career milestone with his 40th interception. Returning running back Jordan Mason led the ground game with 68 yards on 15 carries in his first appearance since Week 1, giving Minnesota's struggling offence just enough to get over the line.

Star receiver Justin Jefferson was held to only four catches, and there was concern over running back Aaron Jones, who aggravated a left knee injury and was due an MRI on Monday after finishing with eight carries for 26 yards. The win keeps Minnesota as the NFL's last unbeaten team and firmly in the playoff picture, while Indianapolis were left to rue missed chances, including a missed 56-yard field goal, as their offence faded after the break.
